The Forest County Community Foundation’s Giving Tree held special meaning for many Forest County residents this holiday season. Through this annual initiative, community members were invited to honor or remember loved ones by placing a personalized ornament on the Giving Tree, creating a heartfelt display of remembrance and gratitude.
The initiative raised over $800, with proceeds benefiting the Forest County Unrestricted Endowment. These funds will be used to support grantmaking to Forest County nonprofit organizations in the fall of 2026, helping strengthen and sustain vital community programs.
Ornaments were placed in memory of Blaine Booth, Chuck Fry, Anne Greer Holquist, Michelle Johnson, Sharon Johnson, Virginia Kiffer, Dale Lolley, Doris Lolley, Linda McKinney, Paul Millin, Kenda Mong, Bob Perry, Tim Prelog, Sam Ross, Larry Snyder, Cheryl Tarr, Chuck Watters, and David Welton. In addition, ornaments were hung in honor of the McDaid Family and Bill Wallace.
Community members interested in supporting the Forest County Community Foundation Unrestricted Endowment can make a donation online or by mailing a check to Bridge Builders Community Foundations at 1322 Elk Street, Franklin, PA 16323.
