Foundation Established
Founded as the Venango Area Community Foundation, bringing donors & leaders together to create lasting impact.
1976

First Fund Established
The first fund created continues to support community intiatives today.
1976

First Scholarship Fund
Launched first scholarship fund, expanding opportunities for students in our community.
1979

Grantmaking Begins
Awarded first discretionary grants to support local nonprofits & community programs.
1989

First Director Hired
Stephen J Kosak was hired to oversee and grow the Foundation.
1993

Ben Franklin Trust Established
A legacy fund is created to support economic development & educational initiatives.
2006

A New Name
Rebranded as "Bridge Builders Community Foundations" to reflect growth & expanded regional impact beyond Venango County.
2008

Clarion County Community Foundation Established
Expanded reach with a dedicated foundation to serve Clarion County residents.
2008

Forest County Community Foundation Established
Created a new foundation to support local initiatives in Forest County.
2010

First Full-Time Executive Director Hired
A major step in strengthening leadership & long-term impact.
2010

$10 Million in Total Grants & Scholarships Awarded
A milestone moment in funding community progress & education.
