Due to the continuously evolving COVID-19 crisis, the Punxsutawney Area Community Foundation an affiliate of Bridge Builders Community Foundations has established the Punxsutawney Area Emergency Fund. This fund was established to assist in the philanthropic response to this crisis.
This Fund will support local nonprofit organizations by helping them to maintain their operations and services to the community. In order to distribute these funds rapidly without burdening organizations, we have established a grant application process and are accepting applications now.
Grants will be made to organizations classified as 501(c)(3), 509(a)(1), 509(a)(3), or Unit of Government. Organizations must be located in or serve the people of the Punxsutawney area. The grants will be selected by a committee comprised of representatives from many community organizations. There will be no fees charged from donations to this fund and all donations will directly assist nonprofits and people in our community.
